Running signage in one store is easy. Running it across ten, or a hundred, is a management problem: consistent branding, local differences, and knowing that every screen is working. Here is how to approach it.
Keep one library, publish deliberately
Maintain a single media library at head office and decide per item where it plays. In DisplayNyx you can publish an item to all associated locations or only specific ones, and unpublish it later. See multi-location digital signage.
Let each location keep its own clock
A 09:00 start should mean 09:00 local time. Schedules should be evaluated in each location's timezone so opening hours and dayparts line up. Read more about scheduling.
Separate brands and teams
Group locations by brand or region, and give each manager or franchisee access only to their own sites. Role-based access and approvals keep central branding intact. See Organizations and the franchise guide.
Know what is running where
At scale, you need to see what each location is actually playing, not just what you assigned. The location Media tab in DisplayNyx lists what each screen is playing, with a browser preview as it appears at that location.
Monitor the fleet
Watch online status and device health across all sites, and get alerts when a screen goes offline. Management software turns this from a site visit into a dashboard check.
A rollout checklist
- Build core templates and brand assets centrally.
- Pair a pilot store's screens and confirm content and schedules.
- Set roles for each store manager.
- Roll out to the next stores using the same templates.
- Review screen health weekly and act on alerts.
