Every DisplayNyx workspace is organized around Stores - the physical locations you group screens under. Getting your first one set up correctly makes every store you add after it faster, since you can clone an existing store's layout instead of starting from scratch.
1. Create the store
From Stores, add a new store with its name, address, and time zone. The time zone matters more than it looks - every schedule and dayparting window you set later evaluates against the store's own local time, not your workspace's default. Get this right once and every schedule you build for that store just works.
2. Register its screens
Install the DisplayNyx player app on the device driving each physical screen (Windows, macOS, Linux, or Android), then pair it to the store using a one-time pairing code generated from the dashboard. A store can have as many screens as your plan allows - a door screen, a counter screen, a menu board - each paired independently.
3. Split a screen into zones, if it needs it
A single physical screen doesn't have to show one thing at a time. If your layout calls for a main video area plus a smaller strip for rotating offers, split that screen into zones from its layout picker - each zone then plays its own content independently on the same physical display.
4. Assign content and confirm it's live
Assign a playlist, a set of media, or a template to the screen (or to each zone). Because updates push instantly, you'll see the change reflected on the physical screen within seconds of assigning it - that's your confirmation everything's wired up correctly.
Opening a second location? You don't have to repeat this from a blank slate - clone an existing store's screen layout as a starting template and adjust just what's different for the new site.
